There’s good news in the economic data released today but some have suggested that luck has played a key role in Australia escaping some of the nasty effects of the global economic downturn. As Kevin Rudd heads off to Italy to discuss the global economy at the G8 summit, back home a group of economic experts have petitioned the government to review our financial systems.
