Following South Australia’s move to ban single-use plastics this week, local cafes and food services have seen paper straws and mixers replacing plastic stock. Now, a new government plastics plan has been introduced to push other states in the same direction.

Under the new federal government’s plan, items like plastic cups and food packaging will be banned by December of 2022 nationwide, leading Australia to a plastic-free future.
