Australian Hospitals Won’t Cope With a Terror Attack

Hospital overcrowding is still a major problem for Australian hospitals. The Australasian college for emergency medicine recently commissioned its third survey into the function of Australian hospitals. The results were released today and they don’t paint a very good picture for the efficiency of Emergency departments Australia wide. In fact, they show a major decline in functionality which raises major doubts about Australia’s ability to cope with a terrorist attack or a mass influx of patients at one time. According to the report, Western Australia performed the worst… while South Australia and Queensland deteriorated the most since the last study conducted 3 years ago.
