This week, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex community has achieved many goals around the world, and Australia has contributed to it. For the first time ever, the Parliament passed The Sex Discrimination Amendment Bill 2013, which includes protection to Intersex people to the law, and LGBTI elders to get health services without being discriminated.

This new bill will start on August this year. Even though it is an important step for more inclusive laws, much more needs to be done.
