Australia unlikely to follow Singapore’s decision on COVID health services

This week, Singapore announced that citizens without their COVID-19 vaccinations will need to cost their medical expenses if they develop the disease.
This has sparked conversations about the health system in the country, and health access in Singapore.
The Queensland government miscommunicated earlier this week that people going into hospitals needed to be fully vaccinated, and rectified saying that visitors in hospitals and aged care needed to be fully protected against COVID-19.
Experts say Australia is unlikely to follow Singapore’s step because universal health services are for everyone regardless of their vaccination status.
