In line with the COAG meeting this week, the Government will also hear from climate change advisor Professor Ross Garnaut about climate issues and their economic impact. Hot on the climate change trail, twenty seven Greenpeace activists staged a blockade at the Eraring coal-fired power station in New South Wales. But what was their reason? To highlight the need for renewable energy as a way of curbing Australia’s dismal climate change record.
