Australia a “free rider” on climate change

Australia has been labelled a free-rider on climate change in a new report launched by former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. Speaking on the Africa Progress Report 2015, Mr Annan said Australia had abdicated its place as a world leader after it abolished the carbon price last year. We weren’t the only ones to be criticised though: Canada, Russia and Japan were all admonished to give up their dependence on fossil fuels.
