It’s National Go Home on Time Day and The Australia Institute is calling for us to down tools and take a break. Far from being beach bums, Australia is now one of the hardest working nations in the OECD, yet we have an increasing number of people who can’t get enough work.

The Hard to Get a Break? report shows 3.8 million Australians routinely don’t take a lunch break, one in two Australian workers didn’t take their full annual leave entitlements last year and unpaid overtime equates to $110 billion or 7.4 per cent of GDP.
