The Diversity Council Australia’s new ‘words at work’ campaign aims to promote appropriate language in the workplace, excluding words such as “girls”, “feisty”, “ball busting” and “shrill.” They also want to eliminate words like “gay” and “lame” from workplace lingo. The Council shot a promotional video with Chair and Australian of the Year David Morrison, showing how these words seep into common usage.
