Grow Support Clinical Therapist Suzanne Utai and Social Worker Tania Schott tell The Wire about what they believe will be the impact losing these services will have on this section of the Logan community, and why they have a special connection that allows them access to provide this support.

Grow Support is a not for profit organisation in Logan, a small city between Brisbane and The Gold Coast. Working with and for the benefit of Polynesian Families and Individuals in the community, Grow provides Job Services, Education Programs, Family Therapist Sessions, Cultural Training, Conferences & Workshops, and they have just lost their funding. With 22% of the Logan community comprising Pacific Island and Maori communities, the current level of vital support services for issues of domestic violence, youth justice and mental health will no longer be available.
