Labor party backbenchers today renewed the call for Australia to consider nuclear for its energy future – they want the issue to be put on the agenda at their national conference next year. At the same time the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering has produced a report looking at the relative costs of a whole swag of non- polluting energy options. So is nuclear the way forward?
