Adani’s groundwater management plan has been approved by the Queensland government which will allow the Indian mining company to start construction on the Galilee Basin in the coming weeks.

Scientists are concerned about Adani’s plan and the severe degradation the Carmichael mine could have on the Doongmabulla Springs Complex (DSC).

However, the Queensland government is assured that Adani will abide by their key environmental requirement to avoid destroying DSC, one of the world’s last unspoiled desert oases.
