A new Australian website launched this week, MyLecturer.net.au, aims to give both praise and criticism to academics. The site is open for all university students to comment online, about the quality of their lecturers, courses, and the value of assessment tasks. Students then rate their educational experience out of ten and can give advice to other students considering taking the subject. The website organizers say it’s a way of finally making lecturers accountable, but does it run the risk of damaging education and the reputation of academics?
