Jumps racing involves a horse galloping and jumping over hurdles at high speeds. Only Victoria and South Australia continue to hold these races, and last year 13 fatalities were recorded. The Victorian Minister for Racing John Bulls says the industry is “on notice” after 4 fatalities in only 4 days. But with a jumps carnival still going ahead next week, how serious is he?
