Since it’s acquisition by the WIN Network yesterday. WIN will make changes to NBN News by axing it’s weekend news bulletins and cutting down it’s weeknight bulletins to 30 minutes.
Weekend bulletins will be axed by the end of the month and the new reduced weeknight bulletin will go to air on June 29 at 5:30 PM. This will affect viewers who watch NBN News from Newcastle, the Central Coast, Port Macquarie, Taree, Tamworth, Coffs Harbor, Lismore and the Gold Coast.
These new changes have left staff at risk of loosing their jobs and has sparked criticism from journalists, politicians, unions and community groups.
