Renewed calls for LGBTQIA+ inclusion amid increased discrimination

A recent Human Rights Commission report has highlighted a growing threat of violence and harassment towards trans and gender diverse people in Australia.   

In response, LGBTQIA+ community groups are calling for greater protections and inclusive measures for queer youth. 

The Wire’s Taylah Viskic spoke with Feast Queer Drop In coordinator and mentor, Margie Fischer, who says the South Australian community group provides queer youth aged 15-25 with a space to engage in arts activities and a shared meal.
