Researchers from the University of Melbourne have examined how social media platforms shape our understanding of mental health and ways the public discourse has evolved over the years.
In a new study, the researchers analysed over 14 million posts and comments on various mental health forums via social media site, Reddit.
To further discuss the findings and their potential implications, The Wire’s Toni Pankaluic spoke to Jemima Kang, Graduate Researcher at The University of Melbourne’s School of Computing and Information Systems.
