As the state advances towards its next term of government, South Australia remains in the grips of its harmful algal bloom – an issue that’s plagued SA’s marine environment and coastal communities for the last 12 months.
The bloom has spread 20 000 sq km since its emergence in March 2025, resulting in vast environmental, personal, health and economic impacts.
