A delegation of eight First Nations Cabbage Tree Islanders from the Northern Rivers of New South Wales are in New York City this week to speak at a United Nations forum.
Their story of determination to return home after the 2022 Northern Rivers floods and landslides bears similar themes to many forced to evacuate at the time.
