Nettle disputes motive behind funding increase to counseling services

The Federal Government has announced extra funding for counseling services for pregnant women. Health Minister Tony Abbott announced on Friday that The Australian Federation pf Pregnancy Support Services, The Caroline Chisholm Society and the foundation for Human Development would receive $100,000 each. However there are concerns that these organisations are being given preferential treatment because of their pro-life status. NSW Greens Senator Kerry Nettle says the Health Minister is responding to his own religious convictions rather than the interests of Australian women.
