Law Professor Larissa Behrendt says many Indigenous people are detached from the Republican debate – and rightly so. Ms Behrendt will deliver a paper tonight at the National Republican Lecture in Canberra, and says it’s an issue that she herself is interested in. But she admits being a republic isn’t viewed positively by Indigenous peoples.
