The Israeli organization Yesh Gvul, are not popular amongst Israelis. Most of their members refuse military service in the Palestinian occupied territories, and are viewed by some in Israel as traitors. In the past few weeks, they took the controversial step to bring army officers that allegedly committed war crimes to justice, in England. As a result, when Major General Doron Almog arrived to the airport in London, he was advised by the Israeli embassy to return to his home country, for fear that he will be jailed when crossing the airport’s international zone to England. The organization’s name translates “enough is enough’ and started its campaign in 1982 after Israel’s invasion to Lebanon. Its purpose is to end the military occupation in the Palestinian territories. The Wire’s Hagar Cohen spoke to Ram Rahat, a member of Yesh Gvul, who refused to serve in Lebanon in the early 80s.
