Terry Hicks Concerned About David’s Trial Date

The case of Australian suspected terrorist David Hicks took a new turn this week after visits to the US from Prime Minister John Howard and Foreign Minister Alexander Downer pushed the date forward. However, Hicks’ lawyers are apprehensive about the fairness of the US Commission. David’s father Terry says he would not want to be in David’s shoes because the weighting of his defence will be so limited. He spoke to Samantha Regione about why the words of Australia’s triumphant government do not hold up.
