The case of Scott Parkin has civil libertarians upset. The peace activist has been detained and now deported with no reason given other than the unspecific charge of being a security risk. Greenpeace is one group determined to take the matter further and will be using the only avenue open in the circumstances , the Migration Review Tribunal. Political advisor to greenpeace Helen Oakey says its a bad day for democracy in Australia.
