Australia pledged a billion dollars to the tsunami reconstruction efforts in Banda Aceh. Tim O’Connor from Aidwatch says only ten million has so far been spent and that much of the money will go elsewhere in Indonesia for different purposes, as part of an agreement between the ttwo governments. Parliamentary Secretary for the Minister for Foreign Affairs Bruce Bilson says much has been done in Aceh already and money is being spent on long term projects.
