The Federal Government and the Minerals Council of Australia has struck a new deal over shared responsbility agreements. It’s called the Memorandum of Understanding, but critics of the deal are finding it hard to understand why government and the mining sector are making deals without the input of the Indigenous communities and traditional owners who will be affected. The Minerals Council of Australia, however, says its all been a big misunderstanding.
