Attending Australian schools is often the best way for young refugees to become involved in the community. But Year 12 Maths can be hard at the best of times, let alone if you’re also struggling with language barriers. So a group of Adelaide Youth Christian Worker volunteers have been giving up their time to provide one on one assistance for refugees requiring academic support. Volnteer co-ordinator Rachel Clayton says the volunteers themselves also benefit from the experience.
