It’s six months since Australia’s world-first under 16’s social media ban came into effect, with SA leading the charge. But, new data from national peak body, Children and Young People with Disability Australia reveals restrictions have created new barriers. CYDA youth delegate Rosie Putland, joined for the 19th Conference of State Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to share results.  

But first, to reflect on the social media ban and its impacts, The Wire spoke with MX Misha Julia, an NDIS participant and parent caring for a disabled child.
