Over 391,000 Young Carers under the age of 25 in Australia are burdened by unpaid responsibility for family members living with disability, sickness or mental health challenges.
New data from Little Dreamers Australia reveals over a third of Young Carers are absent from school each week with many experiencing chronic financial stress.
Because of these difficulties, there are calls on the Federal Government to better recognise and support Young Carers in Australia.
