South Australia is buckling under its housing crisis. It’s part of a dire national picture of economic disparity amid a surge in people struggling to put a roof over their head – the worst seen in a generation.
But how do we fix it? That was the central question at this week’s Adelaide community election forum on housing and homelessness, which attracted more than 100 attendees.
People impacted by housing insecurity and frontline workers, shared first hand experiences with candidates for the Adelaide electorate.
As the crisis widens, a number of people say their voices have been left out, urging politicians to act as voting day approaches.
