Visual artists are still coming to terms with the new Royalty Resale Legislation which came into affect Australia-wide a few weeks ago. As Dan Dixon reports this means visual artists are now eligible to receive five per cent of the sale when their original works are resold for $1000 or more. However, the details of the scheme have indigenous artists and dealers up in arms, concerned that it will damage their industry.
