Many listeners would be surprised that there is only one state or territory in Australia that has a dedicated advocacy group for young people with disabilities It’s called YSDAS and is based in Melbourne, Victoria. Now Queensland is lobbying to establish a similar organisation. Youth Disability Advocacy QLD is working with the state government for funding and official status.
