Yahoo helps China imprison journalist

Internet company Yahoo has come under fire for providing the Chinese Government with information that led to the arrest, and the imprisonment, of a Chinese journalist. The journalist forwarded information to foreign countries regarding China’s censorship of the press. Yahoo Hong Kong traced journalist, Shi Tao’s email address and supplied it to Chinese authorities who arrested Tao and sentenced him to ten years in prison. The Wire’s Samantha Regione spoke with President of the International Federation of Journalists, Chris Warren.
