Peter Jensen – the Anglican Archbishop of Sydney – spoke out this week about his concerns for the effects of the Federal Government’s new IR laws on the rights of the family. Jensen is not the only one worried about family values – several researchers are concerned that changes to the laws will bring about disruptive home lives and that this is affecting the health of our children.The researchers say Australia’s growing prosperity should be enhancing our children’s lives – but the fact is – children’s health issues are on the rise and only likely to get worse under the new laws.
