New research from the Australian National University reveals the effect long work hours can have on your mental health.

The research used data from around 8,000 Australian adults as part of the Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) Survey and found that more than 40% of employed people work more than 40 hours per week.

With women now making up half of the workforce in Australia, they are more likely to be affected by longer hours because of care responsibilities outside of work.
