Wage theft is epidemic across Australia, with hundreds of thousands of dollars being stolen from workers’ pockets by employers.  The Victorian Trades Hall Council has finally broken through to government on this issue, with protections for workers across Victorian industries becoming formalised earlier this year. As this legislation comes into effect, unions celebrate their success and look toward the future for workers’ rights when it comes to wage theft.
