Tomorrow Xi Jinping’s mid-term Party Congress gets underway, which means if everything goes to plan, at the next congress, Xi should be stepping down.

 But having purged many of the next generation of communist party members in his anti-corruption scheme, the question is who will take on the presidency after Xi Jinping?

 The Central Committee of the Chinese communist party is the country’s main leadership organ. Every ten years a new leader comes forward via the Party Congress when all 200 committee members converge on Beijing.
