A few days on from the Labor party’s announcement that women fill 50 per cent of the organisations positions by 2025, the topic is still in the spotlight. While most agree there need to be more women in government, some feel setting up quotas is not the way to do it. Put under pressure by the announcement, some from the Liberal party suggest women should be given positions based on merit, rather than just to hit a target.
