A coroner’s report on the shocking murder of South Australian woman Zahra Abrahimzadeh at the hands of her husband has prompted action on domestic violence. South Australian Premier Jay Weatherill responded to the report with a number of new policy responses.

Zahra’s story is just one terrible example of a violent culture that happens behind closed doors. The women and children affected depend on often stretched support services. So, will the new policy changes help?
