Last week in Bangladesh, a retail manufacturing building collapsed, killing more than 400 workers and injuring more than 2500 in one of the country’s worst tragedies. However, these manufacturer factories are managed by Western companies, which might have responsibility for the disaster. Organisations such as Oxfam are asking Australian retail companies to reveal their manufacturing factories to supervise their enterprise works ethically.

Despite these enquiries, businesses need to create an ethical framework so they can prevent these disasters in the near future. In addition, businesses need to be active and inclusive in the process.
