Today is World Health Day and the World Health Organisation is dedicating the day to food safety. This is in light of a study which found in 2010, 351,000 deaths world wide were caused by food borne diseases. Climate change, the industrialisation of food processes and the globalisation of food trade are all threats to food safety in both developing and developed countries.
