Environment Minister Ian Campbell is on a tour of Europe drumming up support for Australia’s battle to have the 20 year moratorium on whaling extended. Hideki Moronuri from the Japanese Fishing Agency says that many Japanese can’t understand what all the fuss is about and why green groups have singled out whales to protect. Rune Froevik from the Norwegian High North Alliance agrees and says that whales are food just as cows are and sustainability not protection should be the issue.
