Today marks the third day of life under the Carbon Price. Away from the major cities there’s a lot of concern about what the government’s clean energy future package means for rural Australia. Although agricultural emissions are excluded from the price, farmers are concerned that prices will rise as a result of indirect costs. But the government has also implemented the Carbon Farming Initiative in attempt to provide farmers with an incentive to reduce emissions.
