Washington has become embroiled in crisis over America’s handling of the Haiti situation. Conspiracy theorists are going crazy with the question: Did the US, with some help from the French, run the democratically elected president out of office? Despite stringent denials from Bush administration honchos its increasingly clear that there were darks hands at work in the country over the last few weeks. The Wire spoke to the Chief Council to the Aristide government, Ira Kurzban, who has spoken briefly with Aristide from the Central African Republic. And as Dr Michael Sullivan explain, Haiti has a long history of interference form the outside.
