The Senate inquiry into the assessment of and support services for people with ADHD released the report this week. This report is borne of analysis of the processes of identifying, diagnosing and treating ADHD, resulting in recommendations to improve the process. The report addresses the issues surrounding the affordability of treatment, social stigmas, difficulty getting diagnosed and the lack of public service for a mental health issue that affects around 800,000 Australians.

The inquiry also serves to collect the submissions of those directly or indirectly affected by ADHD. This was done to examine the breadth of issues that affect the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD.
