Fifty years ago today, Vincent Lingiari lead 200 Girundji stockmen in strike at Wave Hill Cattle Station in the Northern Territory.
The strike, which started as a protest for equal wages, evolved into an eight year struggle for acknowledgement of Girundji traditional land rights.
