WA’s water dams are running low with expectations it will dry up by next summer. Centre for Water Research says treated sewage is the only option to top up Perth’s drinking water and this should be fast-tracked. Conservation Council WA says recycling through sewage treatment is a viable option but not on its own. It also points a finger at the unregulated access of mining sector to limited water supply.
