The next time you speak to your girlfriend, think about what you say, how you do it and the consequences it may involve Violence against women is the latest social issue to come under the spotlight with White Ribbon Day coming up later this month.

White Ribbon day is a National campaign by the group UN women to highlight the issue of violence against women. Ministers from the U.S and around the Pacific Rim are meeting at Canberra’s Parliament House to tackle the issue of violence against women  around the oceanic region ahead of White Ribbon Day.
