The Victorian government has announced a package that will help provide housing for more than 2000 homeless Victorians.

The plan seeks to extend crisis accommodation for those most vulnerable in society. Under the program the State Government will provide a permanent home for people once they leave emergency accommodation, leasing 1,100 properties from the private rental market.

Contributing producer Aidan Moller speaks with Conny Lenneberg, the Director of Brotherhood of St. Laurence, and Adrian Pisarski the Executive officer of National Shelter.
