US tourism has taken a nosedive after new data reveals steep declines in visitors from nations such as The UK, Germany and Canada.

Australian visitors also dropped by 7% in March with major travel agency Flight Centre warning they could lose more than $100 million dollars in revenue citing reduced demand for US travel.

Travelers have cited the current political climate of the country paired with increasingly aggressive border enforcement as reasons to why they are turning away from the US.

With many nations issuing travel advice to proceed with caution when visiting, the future of the US tourism economy remains uncertain, particularly over the next few years of Trump’s presidency.
